Grand Daddy Trailers. A city Vagabond!

So, these are a few shots from our shoot in Cape Town at the Grand Daddy Trailers location. Our character is just proud to be an under achiever. Not because he cannot do anything else, but because life is just good that way.. Found himself a nice spot to put his trailer on a rooftop and why not just enjoy and be happy? Check!

Blog – BMW 1M

Spring is just around the corner in Sweden and we’re finally having better weather and lots of fun car shoots to look forward to, however at night it is still very chilly – like this very evening when we shot the BEAUTIFUL BMW 1M in the fantastic color Valencia orange.

Here’s a set of 3 barely-shot-images from that hot night. Click for a larger resolution – and keep track on the blog and Facebook for more upcoming shoots and behind-the-scenes! :]

 

For the strobist-interested we used a LED light and light painted the car with a long exposure, as well as having flash-exposures to combine the result-lighting you see. The curvy lines of the car also helps a ton!

Blog – Citroen DS5

French car this time – Citroen DS5 shot in Malmö, Sweden with a view of the gigantic bridge “Öresundsbron” Which connects Malmö in Sweden and Copenhagen in Denmark. This location which overviews the bridge surely is one of the most used in south Sweden.

The second location is on a street in downtown Malmö, kind of reminded us of the streets of Paris! The wheels are sold by specialfalgar.se and are two different brands, Advanti wheels and Team Dynamics.

She’s been doing well during fashion season in NY and we’re just waiting for her to become the next major name in the business. Victorias Secret runway wouldn’t surprise us at all..

Blog – Mini Cooper Coupe

The new Mini Cooper coupe – a cool young car in it’s genre, attached with a set of BM racing wheels sold by www.specialfalgar.se.

This shot was shot in Gothenburg, Sweden on the newly built bridge called “Red Snake”. The bridge at the time was closed for trafic and still under construction, luckily we were able to get the car on the bridge and shoot real quick. Legally naturally!

Cover-story! Nelly Magazine #1 2013 – Biker chic.

We’re so proud to present the latest editorial to be published! The cover-story for Nelly Magazine (circulation of 100 000 copies in print for Sweden/Norway) is all about the biker trend. The independent woman on the run. Armored in denim and leather and ready for adventures… We shot this one in Palmdale, CA, otuside LA at the totally awesome Four Aces set, designed by Jan-Peter Flack. Such an amazing place – in the middle of NOWHERE. Adds to the story…

Lookbook: Issue 1.3 – SS13

We’re so excited to give you this update! These pictures were shot in december 2012 in San Bernardino county California, in the Mojave Desert. Our location-guide told us to drive towards Vegas and to just make a left at the famous Greek Gyros place… Everyone knows where that is, right? . Throughout the day there was a sandstorm that kept us occupied with cleaning our cameras as well as our eyes from sand.. And, that left us feeling sorry for the guy that’d get the job of cleaning our SUV/car once returned to the Rental company… The storm calmed down as the sun was about to set, and so we got some of the best shots on that magic half hour at the end of the day.
We were fortunate enough to work with upcoming model Mathilda Bernmark and make/hair artist Stacey Tan, who’s work we’d admired (Nasty Gal, Shop Planetblue and more). Styling by Felicia Carlsson. Enjoy!!!

It may look sunny, just about right temperature and with the top down perfect for a Ferrari-cruise – But no… freeeeezing!!!

We don’t always do fashion or car/automotive-photography. We also try to capture the most astonishing things around us created by mother nature herself. In 2012 we made a trip to Canada to travel around the Rockies in quest for some epic scenery. One of the most breathtaking places was without a doubt Lake Louise just off the Icefields Parkway Banff National Park. That water!

Looking back…

..the past year has been truly amazing! We’re thankful for all the clients that keep us busy, and also for all our followers who tell us they’re inspired by our shoots and photos. And, since all the media-hype about the world coming to an end now has passed, revealing the true meaning of the Mayan Calendar – that there’ll be a higher level of human conscious and a new world beginning – we’re excited to welcome what ever 2013 has to bring for us, and you people out there!

Here’s a couple of samples from the “bikini-bible” shoot that we did in Miami in March 2012. We were lucky enough to work with the fabulous model Anna Herrin (Elite Models), focusing on a Miami beach lifestyle. Colorful and vibrant, these shots were in print in their own magazine during spring 2012. Styling by Felicia Carlsson and Make up/Hair by Matilda Paulsson.

We’re currently on a very welcome christmas-break, but we’re also planning for another bikini shoot to take place at the end of January, or early feb 2013. Stay tuned! Dorsia Hotel – Promo shots

After four years in the making, Dorsia Hotel opened its doors this autumn, and we’re glad to announce that we got to shoot the promo pictures for their web and press-release.
Dorsia doesn’t look like hotels usually do, certainly not in Gothenburg any ways! Each room is unique, apart from the fact all of them have deluxe beds with duvets made from mulberry silk and bed linen of combed Egyptian cotton. The rest of the fabrics throughout the hotel come from Designers Guild, suggesting a hint of Marrakech as well as Paris during the La belle époque. After careful inspection Hermès gave its blessing for its small shampoo bottles to be placed in these exquisite rooms. . .

Blog – Volvo S60 Polestar L.A Auto Show

Volvo USA unveiled that the Polestar s60 will debut at the Los Angeles Auto starting 28th of Nov, by using some pictures shot by us during one of the sessions this summer. (Other shots by Superstudio). The Los Angeles Auto show announces more than 40 debut vehicles this year.

Here’s an update from our shoots with Alena Shishkova. We’re thrilled about the feedback we’ve had from the pictures from the previous series. These once were made possible with collaboration from Luisa Fanciullacci for light set. Using a blacked out studio and colourful light, dragging the shutter and then freezing with a manual strobe in the end – we wanted to make something extraordinary out of this set. Blog – Styleguide/Lookbook shot in L.A.

Here’s a couple of pics from our last shoot in L.A. with the aim to show different styles of outfits for early fall. “There’s no snow in California”. Knitted sweaters, classic denim, shirts and hats.. All that adds up to this styleguide. Most ot the pics were shot around Santa Monica/Venice-area. One “up the hills” as you can tell by the sign. Blog – Wallstreet

Recently released “sharp suites” editorial, shot in the most famous financial district of them all: Wallstreet. We shot this series in the middle of the day to avaoid the most hectic time of the day. Blog – Kokbokshyllan BTS

Earlier this week we helped Amvision to film Kokbokshyllan which is a free cooking-app for iPad where some of Swedens best chefs gives you tips and ideas while they cook. ( www.kokbokshyllan.se )
It was a two day production with alot of fun and amazing food! This episode Stefan Karlsson is cooking and it will be available in the app November 2012. The app is already out and its free.

Blog – Street Smart in Brooklyn

We shot this “fashion-spread” for Nelly Man on the oh-so-famous Brooklyn Bridge, and different neighborhoods around brooklyn. Biggest challange was to try to get a clean shot on the bridge, since it was particularly crowded that sunny afternoon… We’re happy with the result, wanting them to look genuine and authentic rather than very retouched and perfected. Thanks to Jesper And Mathias, the pictures came out great on the matte paper in the magazine. Great work. Styling by Gabriel Gezaw.

We got the assignment to shoot the aw12 jeans campaign for Stayhard.se. We shot a series of themes, including this one with a unique Chevy Pickup. We wanted to create different moods and so some are “all in on the 50′s style”. A mechanic and the salesman… Classic! The theme “Denim District” came to present the whole collection of shots. So, change of season means change of wheels. At least in sweden, when snow may be expected anytime after end of july so to say…. Specialfälgar wanted to promote  the fact that they provide stylish options even for winter-use, such as this Advanti Raptor in dark grey/matte finish. The picture was shot outside Marstrand.

We’re proud to announce the launch of the new label at Nelly – Issue 1.3. We shot the campaign, and also a fashion story for Nelly Magazine. The shoot was a collab with www.rum21.se, who provided details and furniture. Blog – Photo exhibition @ Gothenburg central station

Our “A drifter walks alone” photo series, featuring model Christian Göran (agency: Mikas), premiered as an exhibition at the central station in Gothenburg today. This was made possible by Fredag (events/communications). We’re looking forward to lots of people with Caffe lattes in hand, on their way to their trains, stopping to reflect on this shoot. The Idea is to show how a drifter may embrace the philosophy of a simple life and enjoy the power of now. All in a fashion-story.

Saturdays are great days for work. No disturbing phonecalls or email-bombing… The studio is quiet and we’re on our most creative side… We’re shooting a calendar for 2013 and it’ll be inspired by French/Italian magazines and a fashionable and sensual styling made by Felicia Carlsson. Blog – Film/photoshoot@Skönhetsfabriken – Clarion Post Hotel

Today we’re in progress of producing a film for Patrik Lernberger (www.lernbergerstafsing.com). It’ll be distributed in digital format, but also enlcosed with a printed magazine in Sweden. (we’ll let you know when it’s official..). Also, we’ll shoot the cover for the magazine in this collab!
We’re using HMI lighting for the film – but strobes for the covershoot.

Blog – Behind the scenes Paris night shoot

On the night between monday and thuesday we shot a night editorial in Paris. We walked along the empty streets of central Paris until 0600 in the morning. Really a surreal feeling!

Blog – Wheels in focus!

We went to Marstrand yesterday to shoot some cars with new wheels from Specialfälgar. We got to do some epic shots with the new BMW 3-series, the 5-series and a white Countryman that we got to do some “light offroading” with. The Pro-foto strobe with bare head was used to light the cars (hand held by Anders), and the mk3 5d from Canon was used to capture it all.

We’ll present the images when they’re published by the client!
